I just returned from Detroit and I am exhausted! Fortunately, Faith Raider at Simplicity made my day by sending me a little note to tell me that I won last week’s Simplicity Photo Challenge. I am so honored – I think this is actually my first “win.” If you missed it, here is Kitty Paw. Isn’t she pretty?
Faith also made my day by posting this week’s challenge: REST. So, I had a choice…select a sleeping picture of Kitty Paw (of which I have plenty) or choose a photograph of a restful location. I chose the later and decided that I wanted to pretend I was on my honeymoon again. Specifically, I wanted to share with you the view from Chesterfield’s Restaurant in St. Maarten.

My husband and I are early birds. Even if we try to sleep in…we’re up by 7 o’clock. Well, we all know that when you’re on vacation, the hotels are rip off city with regards to meal pricing (especially breakfast)…so, we decided to explore. I spotted Chesterfield’s in one of our tour books, so we decided to check it out. I think we had breakfast there 3-4 times during our week in St. Maarten – it quickly became our favorite location. Sure, the eggs, bacon, french toast and coffee were great…but the VIEW got both of us off to the right start. We can’t wait to go back – truly, one of the most restful places in the world.
