Look…it’s Scavenger Hunt Sunday and I created a button (I told you I could do it Karli – well part of it, I’m still working on adding the text below…I’ll figure that out soon enough). Several people have recently asked for a little more information regarding the scavenger hunt.

The rules are pretty simple:
- Anyone can participate (although it started in a photography board on The Bump).
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos the week of the challenge.
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Monday at the latest) – you can use the new button.
- Have fun!
Now for my interpretation of the scavenger hunt items.
1. Black and White
I shared a different photo for this week’s POTW (Picture of the Week), but since I have so many cute shots of my niece and nephew from our week at the beach…I thought I’d share a shot of Carter biting into one of his toys.
2. Happy
You’ll remember that the other night, Alyssa was a little down (either worn out or sad with the prospect of her vacation coming to an end). I couldn’t stand to see my little one down, so we started playing ball before going down to the beach. She clearly was having a blast. Yes…this is happiness! Look at those curls…I’m so jealous.
3. Wet
Another shot of Alyssa down at the beach. Although I love the feeling of the waves rushing over my feet…I remember a period in my life where the waves caught me by surprise and nearly knocked me down. I believe Alyssa was experiencing that very moment. Unfortunately for me, when I was her age, I was in a floaty that rolled over. I was left crying with salt in my eyes.
4. Knob
I did shoot another “door knob,” but I didn’t like it…it felt dull and boring. So, once we got home, I looked around and realized that I have plenty of neat looking knobs in our house. The one above is on our desk…that we don’t use.
5. Made of Wood
Finally, this is a shot I took by the ocean the night that my husband was hoping I’d get some sweet ocean shots. He was dumbfounded when he caught me hovering over an old fence. I can’t help it – the photographer in me sees inspiration everywhere.
