Wee Bit Wednesday
Guess what I found?

I was scrolling through Google Reader, when I saw that my friend Christy over at Skinned Knees (you know Christy…she just made my awesome new button and because I love it so much, I’m going to share it again) had joined Leigh Ashley for a blog hop called “A Wee Bit of Me Wednesdays.”

Ramblings and Photos

Leah Ashley reminded me of something that I’ve been meaning to say. I’ve also noticed lately that I’ve gotten a lot of comments with “no-reply” email addresses, which means I can’t write my friends back. Even worse, in some cases, I have to really hunt down where the blogger sending me a comment is coming from…and I really enjoy responding to comments. With that said, if you’d like to be able to receive reply emails to your comments (from anyone, not just me) just complete the following steps:
  1. From your dashboard, click “edit profile”.
  2. Checkmark the box “show my email address”.
  3. Make sure to save your changes.
Thanks for the reminder Leah Ashley – and now hopefully I will be able to respond to more comments. Yay! Now, onto the blog hop…
  1. If you could go on a road trip anywhere with one person, dead or alive, who would it be and where would you go? I always love traveling with my husband. We can sometimes get on one another’s nerves, but he’s a great travel buddy. If we go shopping, he’ll even carry my bags.
  2. If you were stranded on a desert island, which one person would you bring with you? Again, my husband.
  3. What’s your earliest memory? That’s a tough one. I have this really weird memory of being at the beach with my mom and my aunt…and her family. I was young and I think I may have pooped in my bathing suit. I think I did one of those weird, crouch in the corner moves trying to go unnoticed. But I’d been in the ocean and after a while, the secret was out and I was soooo embarrassed. How strange that that’s the first thing I think of.
  4. What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? Contentment is happiness.
  5. If you could have an endless supply of food, what would you get? That’s a tough one. I love my cinnamon toast crunch, but I also love pizza. Pizza.
  6. Would you rather be a famous musician or a famous actor? Musician! Although, my husband keeps telling me that one day he’s going to be a rap star. He even went out and got recording equipment. At some point, he’s going to set it up and we’ll see what he’s really made of. Next Eminem anyone?
  7. If you could be a star athlete in any sport, which would you choose? Hmmm…I’m not much of an athlete. I used to play tennis, so I guess tennis.
  8. If you were offered the job of u.s. president, would you take it? Probably not. I don’t want that kind of responsibility or stress.
  9. Would you rather have the ability to fly or the ability to breathe underwater? I want to fly – I think that’d be awesome!
  10. What music are you listening to today? I haven’t really been listening to anything today, but have you guys heard the B.O.B. album yet? Buy it…it’s incredible!
So that’s me, but since a blog post is always better with pictures, let me show you something else I’ve joined. For those of you looking for creative outlets, let me introduce the Artist Collection Laboratory (affectionately called the ACoLab). The ACoLab is a place for artists (photographers, mixed-media, painters, musicians, etc) to share and be inspired.
About a month or two ago, the blog organizer, Anika, invited me to start participating. Believe it or not, I waited through a couple of the creative prompts before I was ready to jump in. When I saw the last prompt, “Hot Summer Day,” I felt that I was ready to jump on board. All of the entries were just posted, and here is mine:
Summer Heat 1
This is another photograph that I considered from the same series. The more I looked at it, the more I felt like this wasn’t HOT enough, so I obviously went with the first entry.
Summer Heat 2
I share the ACoLab with you today because I know there are a lot more creative people out there looking for creative outlets. If this sounds like something you might be interested in, come check it out. Our August prompt is “Bits of the Past, Pieces of the Future,” and the deadline for entries is August 8th.

That’s all for today, have a good one!
