This week’s You Capture theme is Vehicles. I hoped that while I was at the beach that I might find some interesting vehicles to photograph – we saw golf carts, six-person bicycles, even an El Camino. Unfortunately, I didn’t always have my camera on me when we passed these neat vehicles. Instead, I’ll leave you with two images that represent two type of “vehicles.”
This first shot is one of the wheels from a horse and buggy (well the buggy portion) at the Cotton Exchange. A little history: At the turn of the century, majestic sailing ships delivered treasures from around the world to the Port of Wilmington. Paddle-wheel boats plied the broad Cape Fear River from Southport to Fayetteville. Cotton was king, and one of the largest and busiest cotton export companies in the world was located in Wilmington. Today, The Cotton Exchange is still an adventure in trade.
This second photograph is a fairly common “vehicle” at the beach. I kept seeing the vintage cruisers riding around town. I love this one with the cheetah print seat.
We’ve got one more night at the beach and I’m in the process of processing photos from our vacation. I’ll be sharing even more over the next few days. With that said, go check out more vehicle photos at:
