Before I get into today’s Scavenger Hunt, I wanted to give a shout out to Sarah at Loving My Life. She asked me a couple of weeks ago if I would write a guest post for today…so, I did. Today, I am talking about resizing and sharpening your pictures for the web. Kitty Paw is also making a special guest appearance (btw, Kitty Paw is a she), so go see Sarah. You can tell her that Ashley sent you.
Now…back to the Scavenger Hunt. As always, I’m really excited to see everyone’s interpretations of the scavenger hunt items and I’m hoping we pick up a few new bloggers today and tomorrow. If you are also participating in the August 2010 Photo Hunt, there are about 10 days to finish (or start) the hunt. I’ve tried to help you out but giving you a couple of photo hunt items each week…I think I’m going to give three this week so that I can get some of those items done as well.

The rules are simple:
- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge.
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Monday at the latest) – you can use the new button.
- Have fun!
Now for my interpretation of the items this week:
1. Leading Lines
I wasn’t sure what to shoot for leading lines, so I opted for our window blinds. I probably need more practice in this area, but you get the idea.
2. Something Comfortable
This is an item that I will probably reshoot for the photo hunt. I kept imagining different articles of clothing that were comfortable (I suppose I could have taken another photo of my flip flops), but I just wasn’t happy with any of my shots. So…I took a picture of my closet instead. I mean, I really don’t have anything in my closet that I would consider uncomfortable (minus that one shirt that really makes me sweat – I’m not sure anyone was ever meant to wear polyester).
3. Feet
Honesty check – how many of you were hating me for putting feet on the scavenger hunt? I felt a little bit of a protest. So, rather than share a picture of my feet…I decided to share Kitty Paw’s feet. They’re much cuter than my feet anyways.
4. Sight
My husband’s glasses…he mostly wears contacts, but I think he looks pretty cute when he does wear his glasses. Speaking of glasses, did you see these cute kids?
5. Sweet
When I first thought of sweet, I thought of candy or something sugary sweet (I even took macros of my favorite chocolate and cereal – I’ll share those later). Then, I walked into our dining room and saw this figurine that my husband’s Nanny gave me for my birthday. To be honest, I don’t know what they are called (I’m sure someone will tell me) – it was my very first. It came with a note that Nanny and Poppa love me. How sweet.
What were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures in your blog and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until tomorrow at midnight. If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items. As promised, I’m including THREE August 2010 Photo Hunt items (because I really need the extra push to get these items completed).
