Scavenger Hunt Sunday
I really think that weekends should be longer…two days just isn’t enough.  Anyways, I’m really excited to see everyone’s interpretations of the scavenger hunt items and I’m hoping we pick up a few new bloggers today and tomorrow (hint hint).

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge.
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Monday at the latest) – you can use the new button.
  5. Have fun!
Now for my interpretation of the items this week:

1. Mood
Mood blogFor POTW (picture of the week), I submitted a different photo. I really wanted to shoot something different…something that really spoke to “mood.” Well, that didn’t happen…and then yesterday afternoon, I was getting ready for church (yes, we go to church on Saturday afternoon) when I decided I might try something different with my hair. I’m sure you’ll agree with me that anytime you decide to try to do something different with your hair on a whim, the possibility of it going wrong dramatically increase…you become frustrated…hair starts falling out…it suddenly is very hot, etc.

Come to think about it, I’m probably the most “moody” when I’m getting ready. So, to commemorate that feeling, I thought I’d spell MOOD with a few girlish toiletries.

2. Something Masculine
Masculine 1 blog
I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted to shoot for “masculine,” so I asked my husband.
Masculine 2 blog
We decided that an older muscle car really spoke “masculine.” One problem, we don’t own a muscle car.
Masculine 3 blog
So, we went to the store and bought a Hot Wheels car. I used my macro lens for these shots and I think they turned out pretty cool.
Which one do you like the best?

3. Something Feminine
Something Feminine RS
I shared this shot earlier in the week, raw. I’ve done a little processing to really add that vintage charm.

4. First or Last Initial
Initials
This is the top of my silver jewelry box with my maiden name’s monogram on top.

5. Architecture

I cheated…I pulled these two shots from my Photo Walk. I hadn’t shared either, so I thought this might be a nice time to share.

What were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures in your blog and link up at the bottom of this post.  Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until tomorrow at midnight. If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items. As promised, I’m including TWO August 2010 Photo Hunt items (one of these is a bonus, I can only commit to including one each week, but I may decide to be more generous).
  1. Leading Lines (also your POTW theme)
  2. Something Comfortable (August 2010 Photo Hunt item)
  3. Feet (August 2010 Photo Hunt item)
  4. Sight
  5. Sweet
Have a great week and happy shooting!
