Wee-Bit Wednesday, Wishful Pictures and Blog Awards

{one} who’s the funniest person you know? Hmmm…well I am friends with Fortune Feimster – we went to college together and were roommates one summer. You probably would recognize her from Last Comic Standing. She really deserved to go on further than she did, so I hope to see more of her soon.

{two} were you a michael jackson fan? Michael Jackson, the King of Pop…absolutely. Michael Jackson outside of that, not really.

{three} what was your favorite book as a child? I was a huge Ramona series fan. I was a huge reader and always had a book in hand.

{four} what’s the most delicious meal you’ve ever eaten? One Valentine’s day, my husband and I went to eat at Fleming’s Steakhouse. The meal was good, but the dessert was what really stands out in my mind. We saw that they had cookies and milk on the menu. We ordered it up. They brought out this gigantic plate full of warm chocolate chip cookies as well as double chocolate and other variations. We ate almost every last bite and to have milk with it…perfection.

{five} if you could eliminate on thing you do each day in the bathroom so you never had to do it again, what would it be? I think we can all agree that shaving should be completely eliminated. In fact, I rarely shave during the winter.

{six} if you could ask barak obama one question, what would it be? How’s that hopey changy thing going for ya? I’m just kidding. I don’t know…I think we really beat up our presidents and that anyone who’s in office is going to have stones thrown his or her way. That’s just how we are.

{seven} what’s the best place near you to get a drink? I used to love this place called Mosaic. I was a regular…you could count on me to be there every Wednesday and every weekend. I don’t really drink now, so home.

{eight} what kind of music can you just not stand to listen to? I have a general appreciation for most types of music, but I have to be in the mood for it. To be honest with you, I’m not a huge country music fan…but there are songs I like.

{nine} who and when was your first kiss? What type of kiss are we talking about? I had a kiss on the hand in kindergarten. Actually, the first real kiss I had was from this guy named Steven during camp. We were probably playing truth or dare – you know how kids are. He became one of my best friends for many years (well camp best friends). I haven’t seen him in years.

{ten} what 3 things do you think will become obsolete in the next ten years? That’s a great question. SAT scores (I think we’ll find a better way to assess students and better place them in schools where they can be successful and productive citizens),  “wired” connections (I think we’ll operate in a very virtual, wireless world) and laptops (well maybe – but I think we’ll move towards the ipad type of model).

Because every post is better with a photo, I thought I’d re-share this photo of my niece sticking her tongue out. I thought it would be appropriate for The Wishful Lamb’s new photography challenge: Wishful Pictures. Her theme this week is tongues.

  5. Photo must be related to this week’s theme
While I’m here, I’d also like to thank Joy for the “I Heart Your Blog Award,” Meg O. for the “One Lovely Blog Award,” and Angela for the “Beautiful Blogger Award.” Each of you are so sweet to think of me.

I think that I’m supposed to tell you seven things about myself and nominate others for the award…but, I just told you 10 things about myself and I may have to come back to nominate others. I always suck at that part of the blog award process because there are so many blogs out there that really deserve these awards. You know, if you’re a regular commenter, and you know who you are…please take one of these awards (or all three – there are a good 30-40 of you) and proudly display it. If you want, I can even come back and add your name to a list. I am so thankful to have each and every one of you!
