Photographing children is not easy…especially if you want more than one child in the frame. If you’re lucky, they’ll place nice…maybe even read together, but there are no guarantees. This past weekend, we “hoped” to get a decent Christmas photo…this was clearly easier said than done. Emma was the ultimate team player…Frances and Caroline needed a little convincing. Children’s Portrait Session: Sneak Peek!...

This weekend, I met up with Emma, Frances and Caroline for a portrait session. For the record, this was my very first children’s portrait session, and I am now fully aware that I need more practice shooting children (well not literally…you know what I mean). Touch-Up Tuesday: Newborn

Several weeks ago, Ashley sent me a photo challenge. I’ll be honest (and I’ve told her this directly), I was a bit intimidated by her challenge…only because I don’t think I’ve ever fully removed a hand from a newborn photo like this. Now that I think about it though, the concept of removing any background is roughly the same – I don’t know what I was so worried about. Anyways, I put a star by it in my inbox and finally came back to it last night. By the way, if you ever wondered how to achieve this pose with newborns…here’s how you do it....
