Oh what a weekend (I’m actually writing this before the wedding, so I’m making an assumption that I had fun last night…I’m sure I did)! I’ve mentioned throughout the week that it’s been pretty busy, but I have enjoyed getting back to some state of normal (heck, at least I was at home). Anyways, I’m really excited to see everyone’s interpretations of the scavenger hunt items and I’m hoping we pick up a few new bloggers along the way.

The rules are simple:
- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge.
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Have fun!
Now for my interpretation of the items this week:
1. Wish or Dream

I wish I could have taken pictures at the Black Crowes concert on Friday night. When we arrived at the Raleigh Amphitheater, we were told that the Black Crowes made a special request to not have any cameras during the show…and many people were sent back to the car to put their cameras away. The website said no “professional cameras,” (or rather no cameras with detachable lenses) so I knew not to bring my DSLR, but I did bring my point and shoot. Although I was able to conceal my camera going into the show, it became very obvious that the event staff would harass anyone that used their camera (including camera phones). I was able to snap this shot before the show got started.
2. Clean
I always feel so clean after I brush my teeth. I was trying a little something different with my processing on this shot. Hopefully, you can tell that this is my toothbrush with my favorite cinnamon toothpaste. What’s that blob in the background…yes, that would be me.
3. Currency

In June, I took a pretty neat shot of some change for the June 2010 Photo Hunt. I considered recreating that shot (or something similar) but decided to change it up this week. I rarely carry cash with me…I too easily spend it and then have no idea where my money went. I prefer to use credit cards because I’m able to track my spending and pay off the entire balance at the end of the month (I could go into lecture mode, but if you use credit cards, it’s really important to pay off your balance each month). I’m also able to earn “points” that I can use towards fun photography gear.
I decided for “currency,” to take a picture of the credit cards in my wallet. I was completely bored with my shot so I played around with my processing for a unique effect. The last time I tried something different like this, it received mixed reviews. So…tell me what you think.
4. Pair
I teased you the other day by saying I bought new shoes for the wedding this weekend. My dress is navy blue and I really hoped to wear red shoes to the wedding but I didn’t find any that spoke my name. However, I did find this cute pair in coral that I thought looked nice with my dress…and they were on sale!
5. Square
Whenever we have a training program at work, we have our food catered. That also means that delicious desserts find their way into my office. On Thursday we had brownies…as you can see, they were cut into squares.
What were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures in your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST).
