I hate to admit it, but it has been one of those weeks…again. I’m hoping that this weekwill get back to some state of normal. Anyways, I’m really excited to see everyone’s interpretations of the scavenger hunt items and I’m hoping we pick up a few new bloggers along the way.

The rules are simple:
- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge.
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest…yep, I’m adding a day) – you can use the new button.
- Have fun!
Now for my interpretation of the items this week:
1. Landscape
I took this shot the other night, but decided that I would wait and share it for Scavenger Hunt Sunday. This was my favorite sunset shot from that evening.
2. Power Line
I had much larger ambitions for this item, but time ran out on me this week…so, I snapped this shot on my way to Bella Bridesmaid yesterday. These are power lines at one of the major intersections I cross weekly.
3. Newspaper
I wanted to take my newspaper shot in my hotel room the other night. Typically, a USA Today is placed at my hotel room door in the morning. I will typically read through it during breakfast and leave it at the hotel. Well…this week, there was no newspaper at my door. So, as I was checking out, I noticed a stack sitting by the desk and decided to take it home with me. We don’t subscribe to a newspaper at home, so I used the newspaper for my “contemplate your shot” assignment for Faith’s SLR class. I’m pretty sure I get a C for average this week, but I’m hoping that since I’m in town next week, that my shots will improve.

Speaking of Faith’s SLR Class…one of our assignments was to photograph a baby doll outside at f/5 and f/16. My mom sent me one of my baby dolls from my childhood. I was amazed at it’s near-perfect condition and really enjoyed my mini photo shoot. I apologize again for a pretty lame picture, but I was trying to consider what “poses” I might be setting up if this were a real baby. I later tried to do the ring shot with my baby doll, but it didn’t turn out very good.
5. Hobby
Obviously one of my hobbies is photography. But, another one of my favorite hobbies is post-crossing. I have really enjoyed receiving post cards from around the world. I’ve got a stack of post cards I’ve received in the past week or so that I’ve yet to share with you guys…so, I thought I’d photograph that stack instead. Some of my recent favorites have been from Taiwan and Russia.
What were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures in your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight. If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items.

Have a great week and happy shooting!
