Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Wow – it has been one of those weeks…last night, I picked up my camera to collect the rest of my Scavenger Hunt items since I’ve barely had enough time to blog…let alone capture new photos during the week. Anyways, I’m really excited to see everyone’s interpretations of the scavenger hunt items and I’m hoping we pick up a few new bloggers, even if it’s a holiday weekend in the states.
Scavenger Hunt Sunday

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge.
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest…yep, I’m adding a day) – you can use the new button.
  5. Have fun!
Now for my interpretation of the items this week:

1. Red
Ashley Sisk - Red RS
I took this photo last Sunday on our way home. We decided to get my car washed. When I saw the red light mixed with the water washing down my windshield, I thought it might be a cool shot.

2. Homespace
Homespace RS
I was looking through one of my drawers when I saw my fisheye converter. Essentially, you can add this converter to my 50mm lens to create a wider angle. I personally think it looks cooler when I’m just looking through the glass, but that’s beside the point. Anyways, I decided to try it out the converter in order to get a good shot of our den. We spend about 70% of our time, when we are home, in this room. You can find me on the couch.

3. Fence
Fences
It was starting to get pretty dark last night when I decided that I needed to take this shot (hey, it was a busy week…give me a break). I initially though I’d take a picture of our fence, but then looked across the street and thought that the above shot might be more interesting.

You see, before my time, our neighbors had some sort of fence-off. One person built a fence, then the next person built a different fence, then another house built yet a different fence…as you can see, the trend continued. It’s just a hodge-podge of fences. Here’s the kicker…we put up a fence and get a letter from our home owner’s association suggesting that our fence looked bad. Seriously people?

4. Rock

I’m going to use a little creative freedom and suggest that whatever I’ve captured is rocky. When I was flying out to California on Tuesday morning, I sat in a window seat so I was able to see all of the beautiful landscapes across the country. I believe I was in the Utah area for this shot. It looked so cool from above.

5. Sharp
Sharp RS
This one is pretty straight forward…sharp knives – yeah, it’s been one of those weeks.

What were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures in your blog and link up at the bottom of this post.  Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight. If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items.
  1. Landscape
  2. Power line
  3. Newspaper
  4. Pose
  5. Hobby
Have a great week and happy shooting!
