Scavenger Hunt Sunday
It’s that time again…Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Last week, I had really high hopes that we’d have over 100 participants…and then I stuck you with a bad list. Hopefully, I’ve given you some items this week that will give us record participation. So, if you’ve been participating in the Scavenger Hunt each week, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME!
Scavenger Hunt Sunday

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge.
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Have fun!
So, without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. The 5 Senses

Piglets are adorable…PIGS are not. In fact, they’re rather gross, but when I saw pigs at the fair, my first thought was “the 5 senses!” The pigs are located in an area adjacent to the sheep. While the sheep were getting their fall hair cut, the pigs were just laying around…stinking up the joint. My husband said the smell was making him nauseous, but it didn’t bother me. I heard a few of them making pig noises…you know, oink oink…but I wasn’t interested in touching them (hey, I had a camera in hand – don’t want to ruin the camera) – nor could I…a sign said “DO NOT TOUCH.” Ironically enough, we visited the livestock after eating (taste) hot dogs…at least they were 100% beef hot dogs.

2. Child or Children

One way to get a two year old to stay put is to bury his feet in the sand (thanks Kenny). I saw some bright canoes on the sand, and thought I might get Dustyn to stand in front of them. You can’t tell me he isn’t standing in front of them.

3. Dining
Fair Food RS
Jeremy is like a human vacuum cleaner or garbage disposal. I mentioned above that we ate hot dogs before visiting the livestock. After visiting the livestock, he wanted some sausage.

4. Night
Night Fair RS
If you look to the right side of the photo, you can kinda see the hint of a sunset. On Monday evening, as we were leaving the fair, I wanted to capture the fair at sunset. I love the way this looks.

5. Sky
Vintage Ferris Wheel RS
Because I can…I thought I’d share another Ferris Wheel shot – this one with texture (because I’m in the mood for texture these days). Can you see the sun trying to peak in at the bottom of the shot?

What were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures in your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post.  Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items:
  1. My Town
  2. Something Vintage (October 2010 item)
  3. Tilt-Shift Photography (October 2010 item – Tutorial Here or Tilt-Shift Maker here or Coffeeshop’s Teeny Tiny World)
  4. Dress Up (this could also be “in disguise” – October 2010 item)
  5. Chocolate
Have a great week and happy shooting!
