Scavenger Hunt Sunday
I tend to write my Scavenger Hunt Sunday post on Saturday afternoon…well today, I am tired! I’ve spent most of the morning in bed with a headache – I must have needed a little extra rest after a fairly busy week, and I’m not sure that I have much to say about each one of my scavenger hunt items…must be one of those days. Anyways, I’m really excited to see everyone’s interpretations of the scavenger hunt items this week and I’m hoping we pick up a few new bloggers along the way.
Scavenger Hunt Sunday

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge.
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Have fun!
Before we get started, I wanted remind everyone that the October Photo Hunt list has been posted. Because I know how time consuming the Photo Hunt can be, I will select at least two items from the list each week as part of our Scavenger Hunt Sunday. So…if you’re interested, click on the link below to sign up.
Now for my interpretation of the items this week:

1. Pink
Pink Mums RS
Mums…specifically the ones on our front porch before they died. I’m terrible about watering the flowers so my husband is now in the process of bringing them back to life. I think I’ll also submit this photo to Ewa’s “Flowers on Saturday” meme.
Bluberry craft and hobby time

2. Books

Actually…just a book. I did take a shot with several books but it bored me. I’m not sure that this is any better, so I may reshoot “books” before I make my final submission to the October 2010 Photo Hunt.

3. Fall Colors
Fall Colors RS
The other day, my husband drove me to work because his car was in the shop. As I waited for him to pick me up that afternoon, I noticed that the sun was peaking through a tree right beside my office building. I don’t think I realized how yellow the leaves had gotten…this can only mean that the leaves will really start changing over the next couple of weeks.

4. Leaf
Leaf RS
Speaking of leaves, this is one of the leaves that had fallen right beside the tree above. I love the color and how the light hits it so perfectly. I also really like it’s shadow!
5. Orange

This is one of the shots I took last weekend at the Pumpkin Patch…probably in the same location where my toes were bitten. I had one of my nurse friends check me out last night and she seems to think I may have walked through an ant hill. Ouch!

What were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures in your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post.  Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items:
  1. Side Lighting
  2. Jack O’ Lantern (October 2010 item)
  3. Faces formed in Nature (October 2010 item)
  4. Sunset
  5. Warm
Have a great week and happy shooting!
