Pine Cone
On Tuesday, I shared a picture of my brown teddy bear for Shutter Love Tuesday. As it turns out, this week’s Live Every Moment theme is also brown. I told Tara that I would try to find another brown photo for Friday (and in my mind, I was thinking it needs to be a macro). Well, as luck would have it, I found what I believe is the perfect brown macro…a pine cone. I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner!

I’m also adding this image to “show {off} your shot” over at and then, she {snapped}. There are no themes with this challenge, just a request to share how you set up your shot. I’ve learned recently that in order to achieve a sharp macro, it’s best to manually focus (which I’d never do in a normal situation). So…I set up my shot on my white table (coming soon…my own light box), got down low, manually focused and took a few shots. I typically will take several shots and then look at them later to choose my favorite perspective.

By the way, I just found out that I won last week’s “in disguise” challenge! Thank you everyone that voted for me!

Have a great day and weekend!
