The other night, I bought two sheets of white foam board (they were 1/2 price at Michael’s) – I suppose I was inspired by the latest Muse University post: White Backgrounds. So, you’ll notice a theme this week with my interpretations. I’m also getting ready for the next Mortal Muse theme: Still Life (not sure what I’ll photograph yet, but this prompt should be rather easy for me). Speaking of the Mortal Muses…I’m musing today. Come visit!
Anyways, if you’ve been participating in the Scavenger Hunt each week, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Exploring with a Camera (hosted by The Kat Eye View of the World), February 2011 Photo Hunt and the NapTime MomTog.

- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge.
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
- Have fun!
1. Chocolate
You’re going to get a double dose of chocolate today…especially since our Girl Scout cookies have arrived, but for this picture, I went with some left over chocolate chips. Yum!
2. Numbers
3. Canned Food
I had a moment of nostalgia when photographing these cans. I practically grew up in a grocery store. So, when I saw this prompt, it took me back to the days of running up and down the store aisles. I could get two hot dogs and a soda for $2. Those were the days!
4. Music

Last week, I was inspired by Natalie Franklin’s CD photograph. So…the other night, to relax my brain (after my first day of jury duty), I decided to try my hands at it. It might not be as awesome as Natalie’s shot, but I think it looks kinda neat.
5. Stack

It’s Girl Scout Cookie Season! My favorite…THIN MINTS!!!
What were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures in your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week):
- Capture the Sky (Exploring with a Camera prompt)
- Everyday (February 2011 Photo Hunt item)
- Furry (February 2011 Photo Hunt item)
- Life (Sarah’s suggestion – hopefully we’ll see signs of “new life” this week)
- Blurred (Sarah’s suggestion – could be bokeh, motion blur, unfocused shot, etc.)
Again, thank you to the Kat, Amy (hosting the February 2011 Photo Hunt) and Sarah at NapTime MomTog for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just leave me a comment or send me an email with your suggestions. Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.
Don’t forget to mail your Love Letters to Kitty Paw (click on the button below for all the details). Also, be sure to come back tomorrow for Shoot and Edit: Part 1, Week 7. The prompt/theme is “pink.” Happy Shooting!
