We may be on a mini-vacation this weekend, but it’s still Scavenger Hunt Sunday. If you’ve been participating in the Scavenger Hunt each week, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! I know that I personally was trying my best to finish the hunt by Wednesday of this week – don’t ya hate to be rushed? Anyways, next week’s items are sponsored by Teagan, Dina, Abby, and Brooke.

- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge.
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
- Have fun!
1. Motion
To be completely honest with you, this is my cope-out photo. I had full intentions of capturing a moving vehicle…running cat…something like that, but I simply ran out of time. So, I used a couple of photos I previously overlooked when editing my “fan selfies” the other day. See the “movement” in my hair? If you have a moment (and haven’t seen them already), I’d love for you to look at the rest of the collection.
(entering this into the Simplicity challenge – theme is two…diptech is two, right?)
2. Waiting to Click

I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to capture anything new for this particular prompt, namely because we were going to leave on Friday so I needed to have shot my photos for Scavenger Hunt Sunday by Thursday at the very latest. So, it was probably 11 pm on Thursday night when Kitty Paw got up from her place on the couch and sat patiently by the stairs. She does this every night – it’s like her way of saying, “I’m ready for bed.” I looked over and told her, “sorry Paw, not time for bed just yet.” At this point, she got into her crouching position. I gently leaned over to my pocket book to grab my camera so I could capture the moment. Had I moved too quickly, she might have run off…but by waiting patiently, I was able to capture this sweet moment.
3. Fashion
I really should have put off “the glasses” for another week…those are sooo in fashion right now, right? I used to be pretty trendy, but photography has taken over my spending focus so I’m not sure I dress nearly as cute as I once did (alright, my friends are probably laughing at me right now). However, these are the new shoes I’ll be wearing in a wedding next month. I really need to break them in.
4. Animal’s Perspective
I wasn’t sure where to take this particular photo, but I figured the best way to capture Kitty Paw’s perspective was to get down to her level. One of her favorite places to visit is the shower door…so this is what I imagine her perspective to be.
5. Many
I walked into our office kitchen the other day and found an entire bag of jelly beans. After eating a couple, I decided that I should photograph them before I ate way too many. I forgot how good jelly beans were. Yum!
What were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures in your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week):

If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week):
- Time (if only I had time…)
- Poem/Poetry (Teagan’s suggestion since it’s also National Poetry Month)
- Outside (Dina’s suggestion)
- Zoom! (Abby’s suggestion – or “from the car” which was Brooke’s suggestion)
- Isolation (Brooke’s suggestion – consider the photography technique of isolating your subject)
Again, thank you to Teagan, Dina, Abby, and Brooke for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way…and we’ve got some great prompts coming up in future weeks). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.
By the way, I’m considering running some sort of giveaway or contest as a way to celebrate 1500 followers (not there yet) OR my 29th birthday in June…maybe both. If you or someone you know are interesting in being a sponsor, please contact me. Be sure to come back tomorrow for Shoot and Edit: Part 1, Week 14. The prompt/theme is “faith.” Happy Shooting!
