Welcome to the 20th week of Shoot and Edit: Part 1. Click HERE for all the details and upcoming prompts/themes.
This week our theme or prompt is “Chalk Drawings” (this is just a suggestion, you can show us any SOOC shot). You have until Wednesday each week to link your SOOC shot up on Jill’s blog. On Thursday, you can link up your edits with ME after following some of my tips on how to edit your shots (or just post your edit on Thursday and you can pick up my tips for next week).

I haven’t played with chalk in years. I didn’t even have chalk until last week – I mean, it’s not like I have small children at my house. Even then, I’d planned to do something completely different (and I will probably still execute the other idea later this week…it just hasn’t happened yet). Nonetheless, I thought I’d leave my husband a little note by our front door. I’m a bit indecisive today, so I’ll share three SOOC shots:
Here’s my message – go ahead, awwwww….

Now up close.

And finally, a view of the chalk from above.

As of right now, I have no idea what we’ll do with this week’s edit. I think the edits may be very clean, so I may show you how to apply a colored pencil technique (because I don’t like the way the chalk/charcoal effect looks) using a different photo (yet to be taken…perhaps that one I told you I have yet to execute). Anyways, stay tuned for that on Thursday. Next week’s theme is “Looking Up.” With that said, be sure to check out other “Chalk Drawing” SOOC shots at:
