You remember a few weeks ago when I said I lost my creative mojo? Fear not my friends, I think it’s back! If not, it’s certainly going to be, as today begins the first day of Kat’s “Finding Your Eye” e-course: Starting the Journey. To say I’m excited is an understatement. Don’t be shocked if I don’t participate in as many photography memes, but DO be prepared to see a new wave of inspiration floating through Ramblings and Photos. I know, I know…I sound like a giddy school girl who’s just been asked out by the hottest guy in high school…I just hope this excitement can beat the heat.
Anyways, if you’ve been participating in the Scavenger Hunt each week, I hope this week’s items inspired you. I was pretty inspired…even though some of my interpretations are a bit of a stretch. Just go with it. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Kat, Paper Heart Camera and Jenny Rain.

- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
- Have fun!
1. Music To My Ears

Last weekend while I was hanging with my parents, my mom thought I should have some music to go along with my flute. If only I could remember how to read music. Rather than even attempt to play (because that might inflict a headache), I thought I’d be better to photograph the music…and then of course add textures by Kim Klassen.
2. Hat

This particular prompt would have been a great opportunity for me to take a new self-portrait…it just didn’t happen. Instead, I remembered that Casey wore a hat during our photography date last month (you’ll actually see one more photo from this session tomorrow). I thought my new favorite Hazy Black and White action would be perfect. I love this action!
3. Clear

Over the past week, the skies have been gorgeous…a much welcomed change from the rainy days we had earlier in the month. I have a feeling that you’ll be singing right about now.
4. Out Of This World

I was originally going to create one of those circular edits…if you don’t know what I’m talking about, click HERE. I just wasn’t feeling it, so I decided to tap into my inner Anika Toro (Pasando). Anika recently posted a picture in a circular format: HERE. I also applied Pixel Bender (if you’ve missed previous posts using this technique, I talk about it in this post). So, is this “out of this world?” Yeah, I know…it’s a stretch, but the world is round and so is this image…so there.
5. Sprinkles

This particular shot was actually the first one I took for the Scavenger Hunt, and although these are not actual sprinkles, I really like the color and composition. These particular candies are filled with chocolate – I might have eaten them after this photo.
What were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures in your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week):

- Walking Empty Streets
- Repeating Patterns (Exploring with a Camera theme – check out post here)
- Floor (upcoming Paper Heart Camera prompt)
- Then and Now (Jenny Rain’s suggestion: maybe your photos before you started studying photography and now…or a recent remodel, your children, a haircut, etc.)
- Fingertips (Jenny Rain’s suggestion)
Again, thank you to Kat, Paper Heart Camera and Jenny Rain for so many great scavenger hunt items. I’ve actually got several weeks worth of prompts waiting in my inbox, but if you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way…and we’ve got some great prompts coming up in future weeks). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Also, be sure to come back tomorrow for Shoot and Edit: Part 1, Week 29. The prompt/theme is “Laughter.” Happy Shooting!
