Welcome to the 27th week of Shoot and Edit: Part 1. Click HERE for all the details and upcoming prompts/themes and past tutorials.
This week our theme or prompt is “Skies the Limit” (this is just a suggestion, you can show us any SOOC shot…much like I did this week). You have until Wednesday each week to link your SOOC shot up on Jill’s blog. On Thursday, you can link up your edits with ME after following some of my tips on how to edit your shots (or just post your edit on Thursday and you can pick up my tips for next week).

I interpreted our theme this week to mean anything, so I went outside yesterday afternoon with my camera and an open mind. It must have been 1000 degrees outside so I kept it brief – interestingly enough, I felt inspired by this mushroom…so inspired that I leave you with TWO SOOC shots.

I took the above shot with my 50mm f/1.4. I absolutely love the depth of field I’m able to achieve with this lens. After taking this shot, I decided I might like a macro perspective so I changed lenses.

As you can see, this shot was taken with my 105mm macro lens. It does not have image stabilization so it was all I could do to stead myself on the ground without getting covered in mulch.
Much like last week, I have no idea what I’m going to do with either of these photos. It’s quite possible that I’ll do another clean edit, but if you have any ideas…I’m definitely open to suggestions. With that said, be sure to check out other “Skies the Limit” SOOC shots at:
