Welcome to the 32nd week of Shoot and Edit: Part 1. Click HERE for all the details and upcoming prompts/themes and past tutorials. This week our theme or prompt is “Bright and Colorful” (this is just a suggestion, you can show us any SOOC shot…much like I did this week). You have until Wednesday each week to link your SOOC shot up on Jill’s blog. On Thursday, you can link up your edits with ME after following some of my tips on how to edit your shots (or just post your edit on Thursday and you can pick up my tips for next week).
I suppose I could have saved one of my photos from our niece’s visit, but I decided to do a little something different…mostly because I have a plan for my edit on Thursday (I know, shocking). Here’s my SOOC:

In case you were wondering, this is a photograph of one of the paintings in our home. It’s really beautiful. And, I am completely aware that this shot is underexposed. I was using my 105mm Macro lens outside for a bit when I decided to take this shot. I love my macro lens but it has a tendency to give me an inaccurate meter read (which means I often guess for proper exposure). I guess I needed to dial it up a notch. On another note, this week’s lesson will be less about processing and more about presentation. With that said, be sure to check out other “Bright and Colorful” SOOC shots at:
