Welcome to the 51st week of Shoot and Edit: Part 1! Click HERE for all the details and upcoming prompts/themes and past tutorials. This week our theme or prompt is “Happy New Year” (this is just a suggestion, you can show us any SOOC shot…much like I did this week). You have until Wednesday each week to link your SOOC shot up on Jill’s blog. On Thursday, you can link up your edits with ME after following some of my tips on how to edit your shots (or just post your edit on Thursday and you can pick up my tips for next week).
As you can tell, I took a long holiday weekend to be with our families. It was absolutely wonderful and exhausting all at the same time. Needless to say, I’m glad I have a short work week…it’ll give me time to get over the fact that the year is finally coming to a close. More importantly, I need to pull my post together for Memories, Dreams and Reflections. Anyways, here are my SOOC shots:

I took both of my photos this week on Christmas Eve. Our niece and nephew came over to my in-laws’ home to open a few gifts before we went to the family cabin for our annual Christmas Eve party. Interestingly enough, even though I brought my camera gear…I really didn’t take that many pictures over the holidays. Go figure.
Like I said at the end of last week, I won’t be pulling together a tutorial this week. However, I do want to see a collage of your edited photos from the past year (you can decide if you include all or just your favorites). One of my favorite ways to make such a collage is through Big Huge Labs, but feel free to pull that together however you’d like. In the meantime, be sure to check out other “Happy New Year” SOOC shots at:
