Guess who’s out of the first trimester? Me Me Me! In case you missed my big announcement, click HERE. Now if I can just hang on until 18 weeks when I find out our baby’s gender. By the way…I want to thank everyone for all the congratulatory messages last week. We really are thrilled to be expecting. I do have a question though. How much do you want to read about my pregnancy? I initially thought that I’d keep that chat pretty minimal as this is primarily a photography blog, but a few people have expressed an interest in reading more. I’m on the hunt to find that balance, so I’m open to your thoughts.
- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
- Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:
1. Smile

I’m hoping to capture some smiles this morning, since I’m doing some head shots for an aspiring actress today. In the meantime, I had to make due with a self-portrait.
2. Stand Alone

Two weeks in a row and I’m pulling from my archives. This one was taken over a year ago (last January) and it’s one of my favorite shots of Kitty Paw. I absolutely love this silhouette.
3. Rusty or Something Old

Last weekend, while my in-laws were in town, we decided to visit Duke Chapel. It’s hardly rusty, but it’s over 75 years old…and incredibly gorgeous!
4. Artificial

I have brown thumbs. Before I met my husband, I only kept artificial plants. We still have artificial plants (such as the one above), but we also have a couple of real plants too. Of course he doesn’t count on me to water them…that’s what those watering globes are for.
5. Repeating Pattern

This is an internal view of Duke Chapel. The architecture is incredible. I have a few more photos that I hope to share at some point…maybe later this week.
So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out.
