Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Well look at that – it’s Sunday again. Time certainly flies when you’re having fun, doesn’t it? I’m not sure that I’m necessarily having fun, but I did realize this week that I’ve been taking an unannounced blog vacation for the past few weeks. Sure I’ve still been posting, but I have been really bad about visiting other blogs outside of those who link up with me for the Scavenger Hunt and Tutorial Tuesday. You guys have told me before to stop apologizing, but I really am sorry that I’ve been away. I hate to blame the baby, but I kinda feel like my creative energy is lacking…thus my desire to blog is also lacking. I’ll be back soon – I promise.

I hope you won’t take my bloggy break out on Kitty Paw. Last year, she received over 60 Love Letters. This year, she’s only received 14 so far. However, there is still time to send in your “letters.” Click HERE for more information. And remember, there are prizes involved…really good prizes. Anyways, if you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Brooke of My Real Everyday Life.
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
  6. Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Love
Love RS
I imagine that there was a lot of love floating around this week. My husband and I were actually able to celebrate Valentine’s Day together…on Valentine’s (typically we celebrate the weekend before or after). I bought him this card – and I mean it. I really love that he’s my best friend.

2. Duplicated
Duplicated
I had absolutely no idea what to do with this particular prompt, so I decided to duplicate my 16 week bump photo using a pop art effect I found online. It’s probably not the best use of the pop art effect…oh well. I guess I could have surprised you with a twin announcement, but that would have been a lie.

3. Trending
Trending RS
I don’t use Twitter nearly enough, so it took me a minute to even find recent trends. When I went to Tweet Stats earlier yesterday, I found that #WhitneyCNN was one of the top trends. So, I did a Twitter search and found that Whitney Houston’s funeral was being broadcast live on CNN.

4. Paper
Paper - Baby Bargains RS
I think someone commented yesterday that if I hadn’t already, that I pick up a copy of Baby Bargains. As it so happens, I already own a copy…and it has been a HUGE help in identifying a lot of my big ticket baby registry items. I’m also planning on going to a big consignment sale in another week or so.

5. Plastic
Tiny Plastic Camera RS
Most cameras contain a certain amount of plastic…however, this is not a real camera – it’s a pencil sharpener. If you look closely, you can see pencil shreddings.

Go to Brooke's BlogSo, what were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week), sponsored by Brooke of My Real Everyday Life:
  1. Crossed
  2. A Glimpse
  3. Handwritten
  4. Bliss
  5. Gray
Again, thank you to Brooke for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Happy Shooting!
