Happy belated St. Patrick’s Day! I hope everyone wore something green and enjoyed their weekend. We went to a wedding last night (what a memorable wedding date – nice thinking!), but have otherwise had a pretty relaxed week and weekend…just the way I like it. Anyways, let’s get right to the hunt. If you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Marissa of Confessions of a Young Mama.
- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
- Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:
1. Vintage

If you saw my 20 week bump report yesterday (click HERE if you missed it), then you saw an alternative view of this image. I “popped” earlier this week so my bump is definitely noticeable (which also means I’m experiencing a lot more movement…and discomfort as I figure out how to get up and down). I’m actually enjoying this change in my body…and dressing around it. Luckily, so many of my regular dresses will completely work during pregnancy. Yay!
By the way, a few of you mentioned in your comments yesterday that you liked my dress – this would be vintage Forever 21. I bought it a few years ago and would love to find more dresses in this style. Granted, I hardly ever shop at Forever 21 anymore (since I’m far beyond 21), but occasionally you can find a few gems worth bringing home.
2. Word or Quote

I went to PEACE College, so I have quite a few things around my house that say “peace.” I suppose I could have done something a little more interesting with this photo (or any photo for that matter), but I completed my hunt yesterday morning and had to move quick.
3. Nature’s Own

The other night, my husband picked up some roots and bulbs to plant in our flower bed this Spring. He started planting yesterday. We’ve never worked with roots and bulbs so I’m excited to see how this will turn out.
4. People

Last weekend, I met up with Miss Adeline at Peace College for her 9-month portraits. I am going to share a full preview tomorrow morning, but I love this shot with her mother. It is so nice to be able to do my baby portrait work outside again!
5. Photographer’s Choice

I technically didn’t take this shot of Kitty Paw this week (last week), but I have to share any photo of my fur baby yawning. You’ll probably see this photo again during the Quarterly Top 5 on March 28th.
So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week), sponsored by Marissa of Confessions of a Young Mama:
- Whimsy
- Create
- Dust
- Seed or Sprout
- Swing or Drop
Again, thank you to Marissa for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Happy Shooting!
