I don’t have much to talk about today, so let’s get right to the hunt. If you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Sacha of Sacha’s Saucy Snippets.
- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
- Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:
1. Water

The above shot is pretty similar to others I’ve posted in the past. This time, I decided to leave the knife from my banana and peanut butter sandwich in the sink. As you’ll see in a couple of images, I have a thing for bananas and peanut butter. Yum.
2. Light

You all know that I have a brown thumb. When my husband and I moved in together, he really hated that I used so many fake plants…but I only kept them because I tended to kill real ones. He still wanted to try to grow a few real plants…so we decided to get some of those water globes to keep them from dying. Not only do the water globes work great (our plants are thriving), but the light pouring through them is pretty cool too.
3. Chocolate

I mentioned the other day that I had the most delicious chocolate, banana, peanut butter, protein smoothie for lunch. If there’s one thing lately that I’ve been craving, it’s a good chocolate protein smoothie. I got turned onto them one day while waiting for a flight home – happened to be at Starbucks. This time I went to Smoothie King. While both were really good, the Smoothie King smoothie cost a bit more.
4. Animal

This is our daughter’s first stuffed animal…a pink bunny. I also took a few pictures of Kitty Paw, but I’m going to save them for the Quarterly Top 5 (coming soon).
5. Crowded

This is my only archived image this week. I saw several opportunities to capture “crowded,” but the image I really wanted just didn’t seem appropriate. For some reason, I feel uncomfortable taking photos during our church service. That, and this weekend…wasn’t so crowded with the ACC tournament going on. Instead, this is an view of London – the city looks pretty crowded to me.
So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week), sponsored by Sacha of Sacha’s Saucy Snippets:
- Vintage
- Word or Quote
- Nature’s Own
- People
- Photographer’s Choice
Again, thank you to Sacha for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Happy Shooting!
