Can you believe it’s already March? Five more months…until AUGUST! Not only that, I’m hopeful that consistent warm weather is just around the corner…which of course means that I’m also hopeful that my creativity comes back. My husband was just telling me that he really misses my outdoor/nature shots. I told him I did too – I really want some warm and sunny days to enjoy with my camera. Soon!
Anyways, if you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Yolanda of In Yolanda’s Farmlife.
- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
- Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:
1. Routine

My day wouldn’t be the same without a bowl of cereal. Actually, if I had a plate of pancakes or waffles…it might be even better, but for time and nutritional value, I do love a bowl of cereal.
2. Music
I wasn’t quite sure how to photograph music in a way that I haven’t already, so I decided to share a music video I saw yesterday while getting ready for church. I had to walk away at some point because I started crying. Yes, these times are hard, but they will pass.
3. Technology

I initially photographed an outlet with my laptop power cord plugged in, but my husband told me that that technology was old. So, he told me to photography his tablet set up…I went with just the keyboard that I bought him for Christmas.
4. Show Me Your Style

My mom and dad wanted to have dinner with us on Friday night so we could reveal our baby’s gender to them in person (in case you missed it – click HERE). My mom has felt like this baby would be a girl since ultrasound #1, so I knew that if I wore blue, it would really screw with her. Needless to say…it did exactly what I wanted it to do. She walked into the restaurant and saw me – her first words were, “you’re wearing blue.”
But back to my style…right now, I’m really enjoying leggings and long layering tank tops. I have still not bought any maternity pants so leggings are my go-to on the weekends when I don’t feel like wearing a belly band. I am also loving these boots that my sister gave me (for Christmas) and scarves (this particular one, my friend Mary gave me for Christmas). However, after I took this picture, I went to the bathroom…apparently there was a rip in my leggings right down my rear end. I changed into jeans…with the belly band.
5. Mismatch

Well isn’t this predictable…a pair of mismatched socks. Apparently, I ran out of creative energy.
So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? I can’t wait to check them out. Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week), sponsored by Yolanda of In Yolanda’s Farmlife:
- Water
- Light
- Chocolate
- Animal
- Crowded
Again, thank you to Yolanda for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Happy Shooting!
