Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Happy Father’s Day! I hope everyone plans on doing something with the “fathers” in their lives today. I gave my husband an “expecting” father’s day gift yesterday since he was planning on visiting his dad today. What did I give him? A Diaper Dude! Now he’s all ready to take our little girl out into the world on his own…without having to carry around my Kalencom yellow harlequin bag. I don’t know how fired up any guy can get over a diaper bag…so I also included a couple of vintage tees. Either way, he loved it!

On another note, last week I asked if anyone was interested in helping me with Scavenger Hunt Sunday while I took blog maternity leave. Amazingly enough, a number of you are interested. Although, I have yet to respond to all of the emails – I did receive them so give me another week or so to sort through the offers.

With that said, let’s get back to the Scavenger Hunt. If you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Dawn of Dschondog’s Blog.
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
  6. Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Meet Me at the Corner
Meet Me at the Corner
I’m pretty sure I could have been more creative with this prompt – this is obviously the intersection of two streets.

2. Mother Nature Meets Technology
Mother Nature Meets Technology
I wasn’t quite sure what to do with this prompt. However, I do find that I go to the weather.com app on my iphone each morning to check the weather. That counts right? Luckily, we’re experiencing a mild summer so far. Unfortunately, I will only have this iphone for a couple more weeks. My last day working full time is June 29th and I cannot take my phone with me. I may or may not buy another iphone. And the only reason I say that is because I’m not an “apple” person, but I am a Google person so the Droid Razor Maxx may be a more appropriate fit. As long as I can still access email, the internet, Facebook and Instagram, I’m not sure it really matters to me. We’ll see.

3. One Step at a Time
One Step at a Time
My friend, Larissa, sent me these little shoes a few weeks ago as part of an awesome baby gift. It won’t be too long before we’re watching our little girl take her first steps. Until then, it’s all I can do to walk up and down our stairs right now. The closer I get to my due date, the more I try to limit my trips up or down.

4. What’s Wrong with this Picture
What's Wrong with this Picture
I was returning something to Target and decided to pick up a couple of things that were on my registry. A few days later, I found the receipt in my pocketbook. I immediately started laughing and walked over to my coworker’s desk. She encouraged me to post to Facebook. At the time I thought no way – but here I am posting it on my blog. You just can’t remove some levels of immaturity.

5. Standing Tall

I saw this picture of my husband and had to laugh. Granted, he’s not “standing tall.” In fact, he looks like he’s stunned – almost as if he’s thinking “what are we going to do with all this stuff?” However, I know that when our little girl is born, he’s going to stand tall as a proud daddy.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week), sponsored by Dawn of Dschondog’s Blog:
  1. Warped
  2. Concentric Circles
  3. Gear
  4. Glazed
  5. Marble
Again, thank you to Dawn for so many great scavenger hunt items (even if I’m crazy intimidated by them). If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way – and I appreciate all of you that have submitted lists already…my SHS file is quite happy). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Happy Shooting!
