Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to another week of Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Felicity turned three months old yesterday. Hard to believe we’ve survived three whole months. Yes…I said it…survive. I do love my baby girl but she is a hand full…and a heavy one at that. Somehow or another, my 6 lb, 3 oz baby has gotten quite heavy to tote around. I actually forget that she was born early – well, until someone points out how tiny she is based on her age. In fact, last weekend when we went to see our new nephew, we’re walking around the maternity ward and the nurses stopped us thinking we were carrying out a new baby. Nope, she’s not that new anymore. On another note, I wanted to remind you that the Quarter Top Five is live. If you’ve been participating, you know the routine, but if you’re new, here are a few things you should know:

  • Linky is open through Wednesday, October 3rd
  • Go through your July, August and September 2012 photo archives.
  • Choose your favorite FIVE photos and post them to your blog or Flickr account beginning September 26th
  • PLEASE only use photos that include your CHILDREN and/or PETS
  • Accompany each photo with a short explanation (or caption) of why it was selected
  • Link up with Amber at Click.Pray.Love, & Sarah at NapTime MomTog, or me at Ramblings and Photos
With that said, let’s get to the hunt. If you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Kamana at Journaling through Photos.

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive).
  6. Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Yellow

These are actually artificial flowers that I have on our dining room table. Since the sun was out on Friday, I thought they’d look pretty. The sun has since gone into hiding.

2. Getting Ready

Getting Ready for the Day
I typically don’t get ready during the week…not with makeup and hair, ya know? Considering I stay at home all day, I’m lucky if I get dressed in something other than lounge clothes. I still thought it’d be appropriate to photograph my powder and blush brushes though.

3. Bright

As I mentioned earlier, the sun came out to play on Friday. I realized that I haven’t taken a sun flare or starburst photo in a while…but this prompt definitely called for it.

4. Teeny Tiny

<
The other day I started pulling some things for Felicity to wear to her uncle’s wedding in October. To start, I pulled a few dresses and these teeny tiny booties. She hasn’t worn them yet, but I think they’ll look perfect with her dress for the wedding.

5. Connections

I had no idea what to photograph for this prompt – although any social media would have been appropriate. I decided to go with my connect buttons at the bottom of my website. If you haven’t connected with me yet, I encourage you to do so.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week), sponsored by Kamana at Journaling through Photos:
  1. Shadow
  2. Keys
  3. Smile
  4. Unedited
  5. Spice

Again, thank you to Kamana at Journaling through Photos for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list (and I could use some fresh lists), just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way – and I appreciate all of you that have submitted lists already…my SHS file is quite happy). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!
