Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to another week of Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Yesterday, we celebrated the marriage between John and Savannah (my brother-in-law and new sister-in-law). What a wonderful weekend…at least I’m assuming it was a wonderful weekend since I’m writing this on Thursday morning. I owe my sister a huge thank you for coming along to take care of Felicity since I was in the wedding. Felicity loves her “Jommy.”

With that said, let’s get to the hunt. If you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Jenny Rain and Sarah Halstead’s Fall 2012 Bucket List.

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive).
  6. Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Shadow

A Walk in the Woods
I had to go into my archives for this one since I waited a little too late to take a new photo (the sun decided to hide from me until it was time to leave for the wedding). I’m sure I’ll take a new shadow shot for the photo-a-day challenge, so be sure to check my instagram feed.

2. Keys

Nothing too wild here, just some baby drool keys. Felicity has been drooling more and more these days. I don’t think she’s teething just yet, but the drool has hit full effect. I’ve offered her these keys as something she can suck on. I’ve also offered Sophie the Giraffe. She prefers her arm.

3. Smile

Felicity Smiles
I live for these smiles, and I’m fortunate that my daughter gives them to me often. Unfortunately, I’m not nearly as quick with my camera. It’s a pure miracle that this one was captured.

4. Unedited

Unedited shot of Felicity
Same series as the shot above, but Felicity is giving me the “please stop photographing me” stare. The only thing I did with this shot is add a protective watermark and resize the photo. Otherwise, it is unedited (SOOC).

5. Spice

Macro Spice Shot
I’m sure I could have gotten a better shot for spice, but time was limited this week. Here’s my take – macro style.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week), sponsored by Jenny Rain and Sarah Halstead’s Fall 2012 Bucket List:
  1. Water Drops or Water Flowing
  2. Faithfulness
  3. Then and Now
  4. Fingertips
  5. One Item from the Bucket List: Click HERE

Again, thank you to Jenny Rain and Sarah Halstead for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list (and I could use some fresh lists), just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!
