Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to another week of Scavenger Hunt Sunday. It’s been another busy week, although I think we’re seeing the beginnings of a routine. YAY! At this point, it doesn’t include much in the way of blogging…but that doesn’t mean that it’ll be this way forever. However, I did still manage to continue my photo a day challenge, and complete the scavenger hunt before time ran out.

With that said, let’s get to the hunt. If you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Ida Krause.

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive).
  6. Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Orange or Pink

Raleigh Family Photographer
I brought my tripod and remote with me out to the pumpkin patch in hopes that we’d capture a family photo. We did just that and I’m pretty happy with the results. Note to self – bring tripod and remote with me more often!

2. Faceless Portrait

Rocky Mount Newborn Photographer
This is another one of my photos from my newborn session with my brother, his fiance and their sweet baby boy. My brother is a farmer, so his hands are a bit rough. I wanted to capture those hands holding his son – I think it’s so sweet and makes for a wonderful faceless portrait.

3. View from the Top

I didn’t get way too creative with this shot – this is my view from the top of Felicity’s activity mat. She really loves swiping at the rings and kicking the monkey that I have by her feet.

4. Cozy

Felicity sleeping
I think I’ve mentioned somewhere that Felicity has been fighting nap time and bedtime. During those times, I just want her to get her rest so she doesn’t get so grumpy later in the day. This was one of those days…she was napping on the couch while I was working on a post. She’s so cozy.

5. Stacked

Does it really get any better than some oreos and milk? I think not.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week), sponsored by Ida Krause:
  1. Pattern(s)
  2. Machine
  3. Signs or Logos
  4. Rocks or Stones
  5. Sparkle

Again, thank you to Ida for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list (and I could use some fresh lists), just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!
