Last weekend, I met up with Kristie and Todd to capture a very special time in their marriage. In just a few more weeks (I think it’s late January – I forget), they will welcome their first child…a little girl! These two are already such a sweet couple, and I know that they will be fantastic parents. During our session, Kristie was glowing and Todd was wearing a proud daddy smile. Speaking from experience, that smile will only get bigger. I already mentioned how gorgeous Kristie is pregnant, but in case you weren’t certain…have another look. I was actually a little jealous of her outfit. If only I had been pregnant during the cold months…next time. When I first suggested a maternity session to Kristie months ago, I seem to remember some conversation about awkward posing (wanting to avoid it rather). Since I’m pretty pathetic when it comes to posing, I was so happy to learn that they are complete naturals. My sessions are relatively short because I like to work quick, so I would tell Kristie and Todd to go over there and stand for me. That’s it…they did the rest! I shared this shot the other day as part of Scavenger Hunt Sunday, but thought I’d share it again. Still love it. Such a cute little belly, right? I told Kristie that she was going to be one of those girls who left the hospital and didn’t look like she’d ever been pregnant. Here’s another example of where I told these two to go sit on the bench. I guess that’s all it takes to capture sweet moments between this family. I shared this photo on Facebook the other night as I was editing Kristie’s photos. Kristie mentioned to me that she and Todd prayed for such a long time for this child. 1 Samuel 1:27 comes to mind, “I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.” Amen! Congratulations again Kristie and Todd. I’ll see you soon for a few more photos in the nursery…and then for newborn photos. I’m not as excited as you are (that’ll be tough to beat), but I’m super excited for you two!
