Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to another week of Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Can you believe we’re just 15 days away from the big day…Christmas?! I’ve got part of my shopping done. Unfortunately, I have no idea what I’ll do for my little bug. Her grandparents, aunts and uncles are so generous…I’m quite sure that she’ll have more than everything she needs. I’ve honestly considered just re-wrapping the clothes in her closet, but she’d probably prefer to play in wrapping paper instead.

On another note, we’re also a few short weeks away from my annual Memories, Dreams and Reflections link up. I should have posted about this a week or so ago, but it slipped my mind. I’ll have full details tomorrow. In the meantime, you can click HERE to get an idea of what photos you’ll want to pull from your archive.

With that said, let’s get to the hunt. If you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s items are sponsored by Danelle at Mom Outnumbered.

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive).
  6. Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Season

Have you seen these awesome snow globe templates floating around the interwebz? I got this particular one from Stacie Jensen Photography. So, “Tis the Season” for snow globes, bokeh, and babies in front of Christmas trees.”

2. Colorful

I suppose I could have shared one of my photos from my most recent portrait session with the B Family. If you didn’t see those photos the other day, click HERE. Instead, I decided to go with one of my holiday favorites…Christmas bokeh. I’m not a huge fan of colored lights (which is funny considering that my husband just hung colored lights outside of our home), but they do make for beautiful bokeh.

3. Weather

Felicity and I were a bit “Under the Weather” this week. Somehow or another, we managed to pick up our first cold. It’s been FOREVER since I’ve had a cold, but to watch my little girl have the sniffles was just sad. We’re now feeling pretty good but my husband has it. Bless his heart.

4. Silhouette

Crazy Tree Silhouette RS
I think this actually counts as an inverted silhouette…but it’s an archived photo. I have grand visions of capturing my husband holding Felicity in the afternoon sun for a beautiful silhouette…but this was not our week.

5. Calm

This is not exactly what I originally had in mind, but I got a bit lazy this week (give me a break…I was sick). One day, while Felicity was sleeping and the house was clean, I took a panoramic of our den and kitchen. This is basically where we hang out all day long. At this very moment, the house was completely calm.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here are your items (these can also be found at the bottom of my blog each week), sponsored by Danelle at Mom Outnumbered:
  1. Sparkly
  2. Door
  3. Decorate
  4. Stripes
  5. A Few of My Favorite Things

Again, thank you to Danelle for so many great scavenger hunt items. If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!
