Welcome back to Wittle People Wednesday. Felicity is almost six months old – what a fun age. I seem to remember that with my clients, that they start getting easier to photograph now – they can sit up but can’t really go anywhere. I’m going to really take advantage of this time and photograph her as much as I can (or have the energy for). Usually, she can handle 10 minute shoots before we have to move onto something else. If I do that once a week over the course of a month…it’s essentially the same amount of time that I’d have with any one of my clients. Of course, the moment I order new prints, I take another photo that MUST BE PRINTED. I went years without printing a single shot…now I’m obsessed.
Anyways, if this is your first time linking up, I only have two rules (and one suggestion):
1) Only share photos you took yourself.
2) Don’t steal any photos shared through this meme.
3) Suggestion: copy and paste my new button to your blog so others know you’re participating.
I should also mention that your “wittle ones” can include your own children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and/or clients…as long as you were the one holding the camera. I fully recognize that “wittle ones” vary in age – so feel free to link up whoever you think of as “wittle.” With that, I’ll hush and get to the photos.
For some reason, the other day when I was putting away laundry inspired an impromptu photo op. She tolerated it long enough for me to grab two photos. Sometimes I’m lucky like that.
Sometimes when I look back at my photos, I think “she doesn’t even look real.” Ya know when people claim that your baby looks just like a doll baby…at times, I really believe that. In fact, I’ve gone so far as to re-edit photos to make sure I didn’t over-process the photo. When she turns 16, I’ll have to remind myself of this point in her life…pure sugar!
Speaking of pure sugar… I had my latest mini-shoot on Monday morning. Felicity’s Great Aunt Teresa gave her this cute tutu outfit. I’ve been waiting for her to be big enough to wear it and figured now was the time. I took a bunch of shots, but when I saw this one, I immediately thought, “sometimes I’m lucky.” Actually, true to form, I took this photo just minutes after my last Shutterfly order. Oh well – next time.
Now that I showed you mine, it’s time for you to share photos of your wittle people. Next week (Christmas), I’ll share a photo of Felicity meeting Santa for the first time…it was awesome. Until then, be sure to check out my post with all the details for this year’s
Memories, Dreams and Reflections. It’s going to be awesome. Merry Christmas!
