Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Last weekend, I thought Felicity’s top two teeth were coming in. Turns out, it was a cold…or at least it seems to have been since those teeth still haven’t come in. Although, she’s still rather clingy and throwing a fit when she’s not attached to me. One year soon, I’ll refer to these days as “the good ol’ days.” Until then, I’ll just dream about a day when my child doesn’t scream bloody murder every time I disappear. Not sure why I said all that – I guess it’s on my mind. She’s also sleeping after losing her cookies a few minutes earlier. Poor thing.

But enough about me, let’s get to the hunt. If you’ve participated in the Scavenger Hunt in the past, I hope this week’s items inspired you. If you’re new to the Scavenger Hunt…WELCOME! Next week’s Scavenger Hunt list is inspired by St. Patrick’s Day.

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
  6. Have fun!

Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. The #5

Number 5
My niece and nephew both wanted to help with the scavenger hunt this week. Thanks Alyssa and Carter!

2. Word of the Day: Baby!

Baby Jeb RS
The word of the day is BABY! This week we met the newest member of our family on Thursday morning. Baby Jebson was born on February 15th. He was such a sweetie. I just wish I had had more time with him. Felicity got a little jealous so I had to wait to snuggle with him while she took a brief nap.

3. Sharing

Sharing RS
My nephew is a huge fan of Thomas…you know, the train engine? He knows all of the engines by heart and tells me that his favorite right now is Sir Handel. It’s asking a lot of him to play with Felicity…let alone, SHARE his trains, but he did. So sweet!

4. Wiggle

Wiggly RS
Felicity is of the age now where she’s hard to hang onto…so wiggly. Also wiggly, the Wiggles. I never thought I’d be one of those parents to let my child watch a lot of TV, but there are a few programs that I can turn on such as the Wiggles that allow me to get a few things done without worrying about her too much. She loves them!

5. Cookies

Cookies RS
I used to love love love Thin Mint cookies (obviously by the Girl Scouts). These days, I’ve become an even bigger fan of Shortbread cookies. They are so yummy. I also love oreos – specifically with a big glass of milk. Unfortunately as I’m writing this post, I realize we are out of milk. Sad day.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, your items are listed below…inspired by St. Patrick’s Day.

  1. Lucky
  2. Irish
  3. Daylight
  4. Pot of Gold
  5. Clover

If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list, add those items to what is currently on tap and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!
