Wittle People Wednesday
Wittle People Wednesday
Welcome back to Wittle People Wednesday. Later this week, Felicity will be nine months old. NINE MONTHS OLD! And like all babies seem to do, she is growing up way too fast…and I’m barely keeping up. Right now she is excited to be able to crawl to a chair, coffee table, ottoman, toy, etc…pull herself up…smack it to show how excited she is…and then sit back down so she can do it all over again. My husband keeps telling me that we should get rid of the coffee table as he thinks she’s going to knock her head off, but I don’t think the coffee table is a problem (besides, how is she supposed to stand up and dance if she doesn’t have it to hang onto)…especially since she so easily pulls up on it now. The problem is that she’s starting to cruise our furniture which means that I just have to be sure that anything within baby reach is secure and edible.

I also think we’re getting close to a wave. In the past week, Felicity has been doing a hand gesture similar to that of a wave. She’s definitely curious about her fingers but doesn’t understand how to wave…yet. So, if you run into her and say BYE BYE, don’t be surprised if she just gives you a blank stare. Either way, I’m simply amazed at how fast she’s growing up. We all know it happens, but it’s still pretty incredible. –

Anyways…before we get to my photos and if this is your first time linking up, I only have two rules (and one suggestion):

1) Only share photos you took yourself.
2) Don’t steal any photos shared through this meme.
3) Suggestion: copy and paste my new button to your blog so others know you’re participating.

I should also mention that your “wittle ones” can include your own children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and/or clients…as long as you were the one holding the camera. I fully recognize that “wittle ones” vary in age – so feel free to link up whoever you think of as “wittle.”

Just as I was saying above, Felicity loves to pull up on our furniture now. And like all moms looking for a short break, I do have a few shows that I use a “babysitters” while I prepare meals, do the laundry, etc. She’s a huge fan of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Super Why and the Wiggles.

As long as she’s not tired, she does fine (she gets clumsy when she’s tired). I say that now as I’m watching her try to cruise our TV console (she really wants to make bigger strides than she’s capable of right now).

Here lately, I’ve tried to use this tactic to take a shower in the evenings. For whatever reason, her babydar (baby radar) goes off when she knows I’m not in the room with her and she flips out. I think I may have called her “cling-on baby” the other night and my husband thought it was hilarious. He says Star Wars reference. I say nerd.

Anyways, for those of you who have children who still sit in place…enjoy it and certainly don’t wish it away. While I am enjoying a little more time as she engages in independent play, I am also doing a lot more chasing. I only thought I was tired when she was first born. HA!

With that said, that’s all for today. Have a great Wednesday!
