Welcome back to Wittle People Wednesday! A couple of days ago, I mentioned that last week Felicity and her friend, Madeline, had their first experience with edible finger paint. Since wittle people have a tendency to put EVERYTHING in their mouth, I wanted to make something that the girls could potentially eat without sending us to the emergency room. Granted, it did NOT taste good at all (I always try anything that Felicity might eat)…and it didn’t have the exact same effect as real paint, it was still pretty fun and I hope you enjoy the photos.
Before we get to my photos….If this is your first time linking up, I only have two rules (and one suggestion):
1) Only share photos you took yourself (or photos taken of you – be sure to give credit to your photographer).
2) Don’t steal any photos shared through this meme.
3) Suggestion: copy and paste my new button to your blog so others know you’re participating.
I should also mention that your “wittle ones” can include your own children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and/or clients…as long as you were the one holding the camera. I fully recognize that “wittle ones” vary in age – so feel free to link up whoever you think of as “wittle.”
With that said, I call this collection “Finger Painting” Enjoy.
Felicity cried through most of our finger painting experience, but it didn’t start out that way. I was able to get a few pictures of her actually enjoying herself.
I think I got maybe 20 or 30 shots before she broke down in tears. You’d never know by these shots that she hated it. I blame it on getting dirty. She also hates sitting in the grass.
Typically, when Felicity is about to get fussy, I start singing “clap clap clap your hands…” That is all it takes to turn her around. As you can see in the photo above, she started clapping. Happy girl!
Now imagine about 20 minutes of clinging to me. I’m covered in goo. My husband even came down from his office (he heard her crying inside) to see what was going on. She did not like being messy and wanted out. We somehow calmed her down enough for a few more photos, but she wasn’t happy about it. Oh well – maybe better luck next time!
So, we cleaned up and decided that maybe we should have a practice “smash cake” session before her birthday. I’d hate for her to cry on her birthday because she didn’t like the texture of cake. HAHAHAHA oh my girl – you are so funny. Enjoy the rest of your week!
