Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Before we get into any photos, I must have a moment of honesty with you.

It’s hot…and it’s about this time every year that I start wishing away the summer for cooler autumn temperatures. I don’t necessarily won’t my daughter to get any older…and I have lots of warm weather clothes that I’m not ready to part with yet, but this heat is unbearable. I think next week’s list should focus on keeping cool.

On another note, I’ve been a terrible host for the past year. I so appreciate everyone who continues to link up with me week after week. I don’t have much additional time on my hands to visit blogs the way I used to. On the one hand, I really miss all my blog friends – at the same time, these moments with my child are way too precious and I don’t want to miss a single one. Thank you all for understanding. Know that I miss you and if you want to keep up, please catch me on Facebook.

With that said, let’s get back to the hunt. For those of you who didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week…next week’s list was inspired by my daydreams of cooler weather. Enjoy!

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
  6. Have fun!

Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Camouflaged

Nosey
I had to pull this photo out of my archives…and it’s not a true “camouflage” but I like the idea. My parents’ dog, Charlie, was taking a snooze down at the beach a few years ago. I remember walking by the couch and not even seeing him until I tried to sit down. All you could see was his little nose.

2. Nutty

Nutty RS
I could have put any number of photos of Felicity up here for this prompt – she’s a nut. Instead, I went with her Zany Zoo Activity Cube. She loves this thing (so do I). I was being a bit nutty and matched up the animals on the side. Silly (or rather, NUTTY) me, the tops and bottoms definitely don’t match.

3. Alike

Maddie and Felicity - Tutus RS
The other day, I met up with Michelle and Madeline for a little photo shoot (Michelle always has the best ideas…I just try to keep up). For this particular shot, we dressed the girls in similar tutus. Felicity was quite happy for a change…Madeline was a bit tired, but I bet you didn’t even notice. What you don’t see is Michelle dancing like a “NUT” behind me. Too bad I don’t have a picture of that!

4. Identical

Maddie fixes Felicity's Hairbow RS
While we were together, we thought it’d be neat to photograph the girls wearing their “identical” dresses. Maddie actually gave Felicity this dress for her birthday. In this particular shot, Maddie is taking Felicity’s hair bow out.

5. Jaunt

Wagon Ride with Maddie RS
One last shot from this session…we actually had to drive a bit into the sticks to get to the farm for our photos. Some might even call it a jaunt. Once we were there, I loaded up the girls into Felicity’s new wagon. They thought it was pretty cool…even if it was a bit bumpy.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, the items below are inspired by my daydreams of cooler weather.

  1. Cool Colors
  2. Leaves
  3. Iced Beverage
  4. Cooling Off
  5. Raw

If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!
