Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Tonight (Saturday night), I’m sitting here while Felicity runs the last bits of energy out of her system and my niece watches a movie. I’m fairly certain that she’s going to pass out at any moment. We’ve played hard this weekend and I’ve left my camera alone. It’s felt so good to enjoy all my girls, but my poor husband could use a nap. For those of you wondering if and when we’ll have a second child – I think that decision is on hold until we can save up more energy. HEHEHEHE
But enough of that, let’s get back to the hunt. For those of you who didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week…next week’s list came straight out of my head (again). Enjoy!

The rules are simple:
- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
- Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:
1. Family
We’ve gotten to see quite a bit of our family over the past couple of weeks. Last weekend, we visited my in-laws (and I photographed my husband’s cousin’s family – photo on the left…to see more, go back to Friday’s post), and this past weekend, our niece has been visiting. While Alyssa was here, all of us dressed in pink. I had hoped to do a self portrait of sorts – then then bottom fell out of the sky and I just took a photo of Alyssa with Felicity and called it a day. I think my husband has a photo posted to Facebook of all three of us once we went out to eat. We were cute.
2. Grass
On Friday morning, I met up with my friend Pam and her son, Declan for his one year portrait session. I’ll have a complete preview this coming Friday, but I thought I’d share this one of him playing in the grass.
3. Silly
In Friday’s post, I mentioned that these three boys are crazy. However, when I ask for silly, they pull out all the stops. I couldn’t limit myself to just one photo, so I built a collage to show off all their silly quirks.
4. 1/2
This past Thursday, I met up with Bellamy for a few more photos. Her mommy bought this really cute 1/2 birthday onesie to celebrate six months of life. I brought out the pink paper and my birthday banner – definitely worth capturing.
5. Bow
I’m a huge fan of hair bows (if you hadn’t already noticed). Felicity wears one in her hair every day – in fact, she has since day 1. This photo gives you just a taste of all the photos we own. We have one in almost every color plus several chevron bows. Love them!
So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here’s your list.
- Sky
- Accessory
- Verb
- Transparent(half)
- Tiny
If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.
Happy Shooting!
