Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. It appears as if the number of participants continues to shrink each week…no question a result of my lack of participation. This week I’m going to try really hard to visit you guys. I do have a busy week of client work, but I want us to get back to the participation levels we used to have before Felicity came along. And maybe it’s just August and people are wrapping up vacations…or getting ready for school and such. Either way, let’s do this!

So, back to the hunt. For those of you who didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week…next week’s list was inspired by “going back to school.” Enjoy!

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
  6. Have fun!

Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Sky

The other day, my friend Michelle and I decided to check out this old building…to see if it’d be worth photos in the future. She’s way better at scoping out photography sites than I am, so I was just glad to come along. We had to keep an eye on the girls because it was kinda sketchy. We later found out that it was in the process of being demolished when workers found asbestos and abandoned it. I guess we won’t be going back there! However, the sky was gorgeous!

2. Accessory

Red Shoes RS
Felicity’s grandmother gave her these awesome red shoes. They squeak!

3. Verb

This week, Felicity’s Maw Maw came to visit us. The two got along just beautifully and I had a chance to get away for a little massage. On Thursday morning, as she was leaving, Felicity stood by the door and watched her. This is Felicity “missing” her Maw Maw.

4. Transparent

What's Cooking RS
I think I took this shot on Tuesday. I decided to bake a cake and Felicity always loves to see what’s inside the oven. Luckily, it’s transparent so she can have a look.

5. Tiny

Mushrooms RS
I went into my archives for this photo – some of you may even remember the first time I posted it. With all the rain we’ve been having lately, there’s a strong chance that I have some fresh mushrooms in our yard waiting to be photographed. I guess I’ll have a look later today…or sometime this week.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here’s your list.

  1. Back to School
  2. Writing Utensil
  3. Favorite Subject
  4. Lunch
  5. Recreation

If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!
