Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. This week, I had a sick baby…roseola. So, a couple of days of fever followed by a rash. She’s feeling a lot better now but no one wants to see their baby covered in a rash. Luckily, I was able to visit quite a few of your scavenger hunts…and I hope to make that habit moving forward. There’s so much creativity going around and I forgot how inspired I used to be by just looking at your photos. Glad I jumped back on board!

With that said, let’s get back to the hunt. For those of you who didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week…next week’s list came from the help of Facebook!

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
  6. Have fun!

Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Back to School

IMG_7476 RS
Felicity did NOT go to school this year. I think she’s a little young and definitely not ready for it. We do start Jammin’ Baby again in a few weeks, but I wanted to jump on board with the rest of the world for “back to school” photos. Yes, I did buy this little outfit just for this photo…even though my mom has us well stocked in the clothing department through winter, but it was worth it. Maybe next fall, she’ll be ready for two year old preschool…we’ll see.

2. Writing Utensil

Crayons RS
I don’t regularly write with crayons, but they are a writing utensil. One of these days, I’d like for Felicity to draw me a picture…but at this point, she still sees crayons as food.

3. Favorite Subject

My favorite “subject” these days is my baby girl. When I was in high school…it was art or photography or newspaper class. Those were the days!

4. Lunch

chicken noodle soup RS
The other night, my husband made his Nanny’s chicken noodle soup. It is one of my favorites. Since we had left overs, I had some for lunch the next day.

5. Recreation

IMG_7811 RS
Before Felicity was born, someone gave us this cute tennis outfit (I wish I remembered who now so I could give that person credit). I then found my tennis racket and some tennis balls. We took them outside for a little “recreation.” While we were outside, one of my new neighbors stopped by to introduce herself. Unfortunately, I looked like dog meat – go figure.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here’s your list.

  1. Down
  2. Shadow
  3. Flow
  4. Tip
  5. Beyond

If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!
