Yesterday (Wednesday), I had planned to go to a local farm to partake in their fall festivities…you know – pumpkins, hay rides, corn mazes and animals. Unfortunately, they are only open to the public on the weekends (what’s up with that?!), so we went to the park instead.
At first, I left my camera in my diaper bag while my friend Pam took photos of our children enjoying the swings. When Felicity got antsy, I put her down and grabbed my camera. Something about the leaves and her outfit were screaming at me to be photographed.
With camera now in hand, we thought it’d be fun to take a photo of Declan and Felicity together. While they did sit long enough to take a few shots, Felicity was clearly not impressed with Declan’s best attempts to flirt with her.
Bless his heart – he’ll have to work a lot harder on Felicity than he does with the rest of the ladies. This sweet boy can usually light up anyone’s face with his sweet smile.
Later in the day, Felicity went right back to leaf duty in our back yard. Not quite sure what she was pointing at, but she points with purpose!
I’m pretty sure she’d be completely content if I just left her in a pile of leaves all day. Maybe I should try that.
And when that got boring, we took a short walk. Oh how I love a beautiful fall day.
