Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. We’ve had another good week…and weekend. A couple of weeks have slipped away from me, and I apologize for not living up to my promise to visit your blogs like I’ve been meaning to. I find it so difficult to get on the computer much these days, and Felicity keeps stealing my iPhone away from me. I’ll do my best to make a few visits this week. In the meantiime, let’s get to the scavenger hunt. For those of you who didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week…next week’s list is once again from
Fat Mum Slim’s Photo A Day: October.

The rules are simple:
- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
- Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:
1. Something Colorful
So, I might have muted the colors a bit for this edit, but Felicity wore a very colorful outfit last weekend. It had the three little pigs on it. My shot for in motion is much more colorful – so this is just me sharing a picture of my sweet little girl.
2. Light
Now that it’s fall…and it gets darker earlier in the evening, I can actually afford to shoot during the golden hour without conflicting with bedtime. I had such a chance earlier this week with four month old Bryant. Granted, this shot is a little soft, but I love love love the light. I can’t wait to edit more from this session to share this week.
3. You
I got this new hooded cardigan the other day…and it inspired a self portrait. It is incredibly hard to take selfies now with a little one. She keeps trying to grab the camera each time I set up the shot. Oh well – at least I caught it.
4. In Motion
I wish my composition was a little better in this shot – I really didn’t want that realty sign in the photo…oh well. And I suppose this shot would also count for colorful. I’m just in love with this wall in downtown Raleigh. I need the right couple or family to go back with me there.
5. Afternoon
Last weekend, I met up with my husband’s cousin’s family (her in-laws) for a little family portrait session. They have a beautiful farm 30 minutes away from us, so I took the whole family. Felicity loved seeing horses for the first time. I’m a bit behind on their preview, but I do hope to share more photos from their session this week. Stay tuned!
So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here’s your list.
- M is For…
- What You Saw Today
- Corner
- Pink
- Hands
If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.
Happy Shooting!
