Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Believe it or not, it is DECEMBER and we only have 25 days left until Christmas. I ordered a ton of stuff on Friday afternoon (rather than getting out in the Black Friday mayhem). We’ve also been enjoying some time with family over the past few days. And then today, I will be catching up with a childhood friend that I haven’t seen in years…and of course, decorating the house for the holidays. I can’t wait! Anyways, for those of you who didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week…next week’s list was taken from Fat Mum Slim’s Photo a Day: December.

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
  6. Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Starts with S

Let it Snow RS
SNOW! Clearly it is not really snowing, but Felicity and Logan’s snow girl/man outfits were begging for a snowy day.

2. Texture

Pulliam Family 2013_06 RS
I know I shared this photo on Friday, but I love the texture of this rock wall at Joyner Park in Wake Forest, NC. I’ve done many a portrait session at and around this wall.

3. A Blessing

Itsy Bitsy Spider with Granny Meb RS
We are blessed to have so many family and friends who love our sweet baby girl. In fact, in addition to two sets of grandparents…she also has two living great grandmothers and one living great grandfather. This is one of her great grandmothers singing the “itsy bitsy spider.” Felicity loved it!

4. Warmth

IMG_2115 RS
My in-laws home is full of warm tones as it is 100% built of natural wood. It took me a long time to learn how to take photos (and process them) such that there weren’t huge orange casts over everything. Nonetheless, I do love this shot of my mother-in-law, my nephew and Felicity.

5. I Went…

Sisk Grandchildren RS
Last weekend, I (and the rest of our family) went to visit my in-laws. While there, we made sure to take a photo of the grandchildren (cousins). Alyssa and Carter love Felicity…and she loves them just as much!

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here’s your list.

  1. Where I Stood
  2. Silver
  3. Tiny
  4. In the Cupboard
  5. Shadow

If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!
