Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Happy New Year! And welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Earlier this week, I posted the link up for Memories, Dreams and Reflections. If you want to participate, click HERE. Be sure to link up before January 25th. On another note, for those of you who didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week…next week’s list continues to align with Fat Mum Slim’s Photo a Day: January 2014.

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
  6. Have fun!
  7.
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Photographer’s Choice

Happy New Year collage RS
For the past two years, I’ve tried capturing a good shot of Felicity wearing a Happy New Year headband…and for the second year in a row, she wants nothing to do with it. Rather than push it, I decided to throw a giant hair bow on her head and go with it. Happy New Year!

2. Lunch

Lunch RS
Felicity is an incredibly wimpy eater (probably because she’d rather nurse). On this particular day, she ate some cheese. I was hoping for ham and cheese. I guess she doesn’t like the ham I offered.

3. Starts with the Letter G

Goodie Good Cake RS
I believe Minnie Mouse would call this “Goodie Good Cake.” At least that’s what I’d like to think. I made Texas sheet cake the other day on a whim. It was delicious.

4. My Town

Lots of Feet - January 3 RS
I don’t really get out much, so my town…my world…is hanging with my girl. Over Christmas, she became the proud mama to a gazillion baby dolls. She loves every single one of them equally and thinks they all need to sit on the sofa with her. I love this little mountain of feet.

5. Words to Live By

Please excuse the mess
Yep – that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here’s your list.

  1. Happens Everyday
  2. Upside Down
  3. Natural
  4. Man-made
  5. Looking Down

If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!
