Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. I failed those of you who participated last week. Interestingly enough, I’ve had quite a few client sessions in the past week…which of course takes up a lot of my time. Who knew I’d be busy in January and February is already starting to book up. No complaints here! But enough about me. For those of you who didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week…next week’s list is sponsored by John Roberts. Thanks so much John for giving me some fresh prompts. Keep them coming!

The rules are simple:
- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
- Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:
1. Beverage
At Bellamy’s party last weekend, we had our choice of rainwater (water), mud puddle soup (hot chocolate – which was AMAZING) and a taste of sunshine (lemonade). I think I had one of each at it was all delicious.
2. Snuggle
After we called it quits on Friday morning, Felicity and Maddie gave me a sweet snuggle. Baby Cinderella was included! As you can tell, Felicity wasn’t thrilled about having her picture taken.
3. Thick
We had another bout of snow this week. It actually snowed quite a bit more than it did last week. I was hopeful that since Felicity had already been out in the snow before, that she would be more excited to go this go round. Just the opposite. Our grass is already thick. When the snow laid on it, it was even thicker and she just couldn’t pick up her feet well.
4. Behind the Lens
I am normally behind the lens. However, when it came time to (attempt to) take Felicity’s Valentine’s photo, Michelle had to step in. On the left you see a hint of what’s really going on. I’m singing…at one point, I was dancing. There were tears and lots of hugs. On the right, the best shot of the morning. You might have never known how much work went into getting that one shot if I didn’t tell you. All photo shoots are not an immediate success. If you ever think that a photographer’s job is easy…well, we make it look easy.
5. Where Were You
On Friday afternoon, I met up with Brin and Brent at Joyner Park in Wake Forest, NC. Brin is expecting a little boy in April. LOTS more to come from this session later in the week.
So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here’s your list.
- Looking Up
- Light
- Favorite Mobile Device
- Outside
- Inside
If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.
Happy Shooting!
