Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Last week, Felicity was sick…this week, I was sick. On top of that, it snowed…A LOT. I’ve been inside my house since Tuesday morning and I’m getting a little stir crazy. If only I could breathe. So, once again I have to apologize for not visiting your posts. I really wanted to but the energy wasn’t there. Heck, I’m not quite sure how I found time to pull together this week’s shots, but I made it happen. But, enough about me. For those of you who didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week…next week’s list is sponsored by
Michelle of St. John Photography. Thanks so much Michelle for giving me some fresh prompts. Keep them coming!

The rules are simple:
- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
- Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:
1. Camouflaged
I already mentioned it snowed a lot this week. Even though I was sick, I really wanted to attempt to capture a snowflake…and I did (it’s the last photo of this post). I was so excited about capturing one that I wanted to try again. Unfortunately, when you’re not feeling well, you really shouldn’t go out in cold temperatures to take photos….so five minutes of squatting over a glove trying to photograph snow is stupid. AND, the snow was coming down so heavy that I had a hard time getting a singular snowflake. If you look closely, you’ll see several snowflakes kinda clumped together – it’s like they are camouflaged.
2. Nutty
The only kinds of nuts I like are cashews and I don’t keep them in the house because they are so addictive. I especially don’t like nuts in my chocolate, but a box of chocolate always seems to include at least one or two with nuts. That’s okay – I’ll just photograph them.
3. Old Style
How about an old style..old school…photo of me? That I was sitting still for this photo makes me think I was old enough to sit but not old enough to get away…maybe 9 months old? My mom definitely had me all dolled up didn’t she? I’ve been able to get Felicity to wear a bonnet similar to this ONCE. She wore it long enough for photos and then ripped it off. I wish I could get her to wear it again for a photo like this.
4. Haphazard
This isn’t really that haphazard, but I think it’s cute. Actually, I think I was thinking more hazardous driving instead of haphazard which would mean lacking organization. Oh well, we needed a picture of Felicity didn’t we?
5. Monochromatic
Okay, so here’s that picture of the snowflake. If you’re friends with me on Facebook, you’ve already seen it. I’m pretty proud of this shot.
So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here’s your list.
- See…Sea…or C
- Chair
- Symmetry
- Blanket
- Giggle
If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.
Happy Shooting!
