Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. I still haven’t gotten back into my groove of visiting your blogs. However, I do know that you guys are checking each other out…or at least one of you is. My friend Michelle is always telling me how inspired she is by the photos that are submitted to the Scavenger Hunt. So, even if you aren’t getting comments, I encourage you to keep shooting. Personally, if it wasn’t for the hunt, I might only pick up my camera for client work, and that’s no fun.

Speaking of fun, I’d like to redirect your attention to my friend, Elena’s blog. You may remember Elena from her lessons on self portraiture. If not, click HERE. Elena’s daughter, Lexi, is about 6 months older than Felicity. I always enjoy looking at Elena’s photos of Lexi to get an idea of what I can expect from Felicity (I did the same thing when I was pregnant). And since Lexi just turned 2 a couple of weeks ago, Elena has now started a Toddler Scavenger Hunt she’s calling “Childhood Unplugged.” If you have a toddler, you’ll want to “plug” in right away. Now, for those of you who didn’t participate this week in my scavenger hunt, but want to participate next week…next week’s list is brought to you by…ME!

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
  6. Have fun!
  7.
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. See…Sea…or C

Nerd Alert RS
These glasses lasted all of two seconds, but I figure they work for “see.” I’m hopeful that Felicity has inherited my eyesight and won’t need glasses.

2. Chair

7F1A3943 RS
I photographed Miss Claire yesterday at the Arboretum. Her parents brought along this sweet rocking chair and I made sure to use it! Look at that wonderful smile. It could brighten up any day!

3. Symmetry

Heart in Hands RS
For Valentine’s Day, I took a lesson out of my friend, Michelle’s, book and cut out Felicity’s handprints for this sweet graphic. Then, I photographed it and added this oil pastel effect…just because.

4. Blanket

Baby Doll Feet RS
In preparation for an upcoming newborn session, I bought this new blanket. Interestingly enough, it was used during Felicity’s newborn session. As soon as I saw it at Home Goods, I HAD TO HAVE IT. I gave it a test drive earlier this week with Felicity’s baby doll. Dolls are incredibly hard to pose and Felicity wasn’t sure she liked it.

5. Giggle

Jommy Coupe 1 RS
Last weekend, my parents and sister came over to visit. For some reason, my sister (known as “Jommy”) decided it’d be a good idea to wear Felicity’s cozy coupe. Of course, I had to photograph this “wise” decision…then post it on Facebook…and now here. Sorry Jommmy, it’s hilarious.

Boat Shoes RS
Felicity also provided a few giggles this week. She’s recently decided that shoes are awesome…although she prefers to wear my old shoes. Example – my old boat shoes. 1 – I haven’t been on a boat in YEARS. 2 – I haven’t worn these shoes in years. That said, Felicity has decided that these boat shoes are hers and frequently puts them on so she can shuffle around the house. Giggle Giggle.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here’s your list.

  1. Unusual Crop
  2. Details
  3. On the Ground
  4. Blooper (or a shot where things didn’t go as planned)
  5. Color

If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!
