Last Monday, I met up with Anna and Liam at the family farm for Liam’s 18 month portrait session. The last time I photographed Liam, he was just 12 months old. Needless to say he had grown a ton! While we were there, Anna wanted a few photos of her and her horse, Frank.
I’ve never photographed horses before so it was quite a treat to be able to do so. I also think I’d like to go back and get a little more creative. Although, don’t you love the oil painting effect I added to this first shot?

Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday and happy Memorial Day. I’m sure many of you are enjoying the weekend at the beach…maybe grilling out or something to that effect; but let’s not forget to remember those we’ve lost. On Sunday afternoon, I met up with Claire and her family. Claire just celebrated her first birthday and we wanted to be sure we captured her at this point in her little life. Hard to believe how much she’s grown since I first met her nine months ago.
If you know this family (or just remember them from my previous posts), you know that we always try to take some family photos while we’re together. This was our very first shot – not bad if I do say so myself.
We also try to capture the girls in the same photo…smiling. Nailed it.

On Mother’s Day, rather than going to a “Mother’s Day Brunch,” I decided that I just wanted to spend the day with my family. I also wanted to go to take Felicity to the zoo before it got too hot this summer. My husband and I once went during July and that was a HORRIBLE idea.
Surprisingly enough, Felicity LOVED the zoo. She is usually a little hesitant about doing new things, but she saw a lot of other little people in strollers so she was encouraged to go along for the ride. Our first real stop was the seals. Since Felicity is majorly into “water”...
