Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. This week, I celebrated my 5th wedding anniversary. We survived all five years! Yay! We celebrated with dinner out on Thursday night and a trip to the North Carolina Sate Fair on Friday night. I also had my first parent-teacher conference this week. I wasn’t quite sure what we’d discuss for a 2 year old, but it went really well. Felicity sits well at snack time and at story time. They want to see her play more alongside other children (she seems to prefer independent play) and enjoy arts & crafts a little more. Apparently, she doesn’t like to get messy (knew that), so I told them I’d pull out the finger paints! Hmmm…might have to do that next week! With that said, I’m glad you’re here and if you didn’t participate this week in my scavenger hunt, but want to participate next week, be sure to scroll all the way down to the bottom.

The rules are simple:
    • Anyone can participate.
    • You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
    • If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
    • Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
    • Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
    • Have fun!

Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:

1. Book

Elephant RS
One of Felicity’s favorites books is “Dear Zoo.” The first pet that the zoo sends is an Elephant. We actually saw an elephant the other week at the zoo. This particular one was quite a “ham.” She walked around, posed for the camera…even flapped her ears. You could tell she was putting on a show for the crowd.

2. Mail

Mailbox RS
Nothing mind-blowing here…just our mail box.

3. Star

Raggedy Ann FeFe
The other day, I dressed Felicity up in her 2nd costume of the month. In the first photo, I ask “will the real Raggedy Ann please stand up?!” I mean really…who’s the “star” of the show? In the next photo, clearly – Felicity is! This costume looks so stinking cute that it’s a real contender for Halloween night!

4. Saturated

I wasn’t quite sure what to share for this particular prompt. Saturated vs. desaturated? Either way, this is Felicity bird watching with the binoculars she made at preschool.

5. Wall

Burkhart 10-14_36-1 RS
I believe I shared this photo earlier in the week – this is my client, Camden, with his dad posing by a wall on UNC-Chapel Hill’s campus last weekend.

So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here’s your list:

    • 1. Paint
    • 2. Pumpkin
    • 3. Family
    • 4. Looking Cute
    • 5. Photographer’s Choice

If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Happy Shooting!
