Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday and happy belated Thanksgiving. I know that so many bloggers post a Thanksgiving message, but I decided to just enjoy being with my family. And this weekend, I’ve been busy shooting family portrait session in time for Christmas cards. I’m taking a short break from editing to get the Scavenger Hunt loaded, but don’t be surprised to see little sneak peeks of my client sessions from Saturday. I’ll be posting more complete previews later this week. With all that said, I’m glad you’re here and if you didn’t participate this week in my scavenger hunt, but want to participate next week, be sure to scroll all the way down to the bottom.

The rules are simple:
- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
- Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:
1. Favorite #1
I attempted to take a photo of Felicity and Logan on Friday for my parents’ Christmas card. I was pressed for time…and had 2 tired babies so it didn’t work out exactly like I had in mind, but it’s still pretty cute.
2. Favorite #2
On Saturday morning, I met up with Declan for some Christmas portraits. He was a bit disappointed that Felicity didn’t come along (they are besties), but I got some great shots! I can’t wait to share the rest of the set. By the way, a huge thank you to Boyce Farms for letting me hang out all day!
3. Favorite #3
Right after Declan’s session on Saturday morning, I met up with Adeline and Everett (and their family) for Christmas portraits. Adeline was hit or miss when it came to sitting still and smiling, but I got this little gem…and a bunch of others!
4. Favorite #4
Saturday afternoon, I met up with the L family for more Christmas photos. I have so many cute shots to share, but I really like this one. So silly!
5. Favorite #5
My mom decorates the main display table in the narthex of their church. I meant to stop by earlier in the month to photograph her Thanksgiving display, but time slipped away from me. While I was home for Thanksgiving, she asked if I would photograph her Nativity display. She does such a beautiful job with these displays and I’m not sure that anyone realizes how much time goes into the creation of it- I’m so proud of her.
So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, but want to participate next week, here’s your list.
- 1. Joy
- 2. White 2
- 3. Stripes
- 4. Tree
- 5. Shape
If you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.
Happy Shooting!
